Advanced Exteriors has grown to become the St. Louis metro area’s roofing expert.
The experienced team of Advanced Exteriors professionals have firsthand experience with virtually every product on the market and we know which products do what they say they’ll do, and which ones seem to regularly fall short. Furthermore, at Advanced Exteriors we spend a lot of time researching manufacturers and testing products, and the products we recommend come from bona fide manufacturers who base their warranties on realistic conditions, clearly state what the warranty will (and more importantly, will not) cover and specifically designates the homeowner’s maintenance responsibilities to maintain the warranty’s validity.
To this end, in 2011 the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) released a Consumer Advisory Bulletin, which states:
“A roofing warranty’s length should not be the primary criterion in the selection of a roofing product or roof system because the warranty does not necessarily provide assurance of satisfactory roof system performance. There is a common misconception by roofing consumers that long-term warranties are all-inclusive insurance policies designed to cover virtually any roofing problem, regardless of the cause or circumstance. Even the most comprehensive manufacturer warranties that cover materials and workmanship generally provide only that the manufacturer will repair leaks that result from specific causes specified in the warranty. Unfortunately, there are a number of manufacturers that issued long-term warranties and no longer are operating companies with the capability of honoring their warranty commitments, leaving consumers with an ineffective warranty and serious roofing problems.”
That’s why Advanced Exteriors is proud to install top quality products, from some of the country’s best manufacturers, including Owens Corning. What’s more, as an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Roofing Contractor we are able to offer our customers the Owens Corning System Advantage Platinum Roofing Limited Warranty, which not only provides the most robust product warranty coverage, but it also covers workmanship for as long as you own your home. Compare this superior lifetime labor and materials coverage (with no proration for 50 years) with many of our competitors, who offer “lifetime” warranties that start prorating coverage after just 10 years.
